Skiing has been recognized as one of the most precious Olympic sports. It requires a combination of speed, strength, control and absolute determination to win a medal and leave your name in later Olympics. Now you can see what need to compete at this level with one touch of a button.
A documentary commissioned by the automaker, Audi, is available for free download from the iTunes Store. The film is titled "Truth in Motion: Highway The U.S. Vancouver Ski Team." Available in HD (HD) and standard definition (SD) versions, the fans of Olympic sports will be able to see this exciting documentary on your PC, Mac and iPhone, iPod and TV using Apple TV.
The film presents a unique look at skiing, which tests the limits of human endurance, strength and willpower. With the consent of U.S. team ski, the filmmakers were able to capture images of powerful and impressive video sequences athletes who dare to pursue their dreams of competing in the Olympic Games in Vancouver.
This documentary was made possible by funding from Audi of America, has been a sponsor of Team USA Ski. The film contains the technical state of the art camera that captures the movement ultra slow images. This makes it appear as time is at a standstill and is expressed as skiers are able to manipulate different techniques within a fraction of a second.
You will leave with a better understanding of the pains and sacrifices Olympic skiers encounter. But also discover and appreciate what hard work and determination can be achieved.
