Ok, so I have a ps3 and a high definition HDMI cable, rather my HDTV does have an HDMI output, but I have a Direct TV?
box has an HDMI slot so I have already connected the HDMI cable in the PS3 to the Direct TV box and tried to change the resolution to I can play games in 1080i, but not this still says 420 … any help or advice?
Does HDTV has an HDMI input? That's where you want to connect the cable HDMI. How does the Direct TV box to connect to the HDTV? Are you using HDMI? If so, look for an HDMI jack right next to where you connect, or, if not to unplug and use the HDMI connector using the PS3.
