Digital Camcorder Choices
My mom will buy a video camera / digital camera for Christmas?
I really want this camcorder, but I do not know the brand for choose, there are so many options out there. I have my eye on the DXG305vbc or travelers 5megapixel 6 in 1 digital video camera. I guess I like the idea of a 6 on a video I do not know if the traveler is the best brand. I am very confused, help. I would really appreciate it. thanks
I have one of my friends who owned the DXG305vbc and I approached him and borrowed it to test myself to it (curiosity). has some interesting features, but to tell you the truth? REALLY shit. Not that I am trying to quit, I do not want to deliver a bill to Benjamin about two days and end up very disappointed. actually for me, I was disappointed after 30 minutes. First the battery is 4 AAA batteries. not good, unless you have batteries. but still, the batteries are exhausted so easily when shooting with flash. probably 5 photos with flash and 5 does. REDLINE! Also, it doesn't have optical zoom, and that means the image is disturbingly horrible. photos came out yellowish under bright sunlight and black interior. so you're stuck on using flash, and battery drain after 5 shots. player MP3? Nice try, but the volume is too low and the battery will quickly too. about 10 songs and you're out. well as its main function the camcorder is right? sure! limited by the memory card, the video quality is not acceptable. having "not acceptable". very grainy and dark. if he photos and film samples on this laptop i would send them to you, but to me has been erased, it is only a waste of space on my disk. you know what to do, convince you to buy a miniDV video camera $ 200, which is a lot floating around at this time of year, and enjoy high quality movies you can do them. Stay away from brands that offer both things soo much with their products so much cheaper. is only a marketing strategy to sell to you, but you will have difficulty getting the support and the quality is just awful. if you want movies, buy a real video camera. if you want pictures, but a dedicated digital camera. Canon and Nikon and kodaks are all good. you might like how the two things you mention "looks", but you will regret after using it for a week. consider yourself warned.
