Home Audio Solution for Music (primary) and TV / Film?
I am looking for a new primary audio solution (or system home theater). The main purpose is for the audience to music, watch television and some movies Blu-Ray/DVD. The music is very important to me and everything will be Indian classical music or CD audio or MP3 CDs. I'm confused to choose. My budget is around $ 500 (I'm in the U.S.). I think the product should support the latest format / codec something like HD Audio (Not sure about the terminology). I am also looking for dynamic volume control for smooth strong peaks. I currently have Philips home theater that is decent, but in search of better now offering to upgrade. Please suggest some models … PS: I will be using the system in a small lounge room.
I recommend you take a look at an Onkyo HT-S6200 is a 7.1 receiver and 7.1 speaker set capable of Dolby Digital True And DTS HD Master and has a lot of tickets for any upgrades you want. You can demo the system at a Fry's electronics and the price is about $ 600. This is a much better system than a home theater in a box, which are not flexible to add additional supplements. Add a Panasonic BD-60 blu ray disc player ($ 159 at Costco with a 90 days return policy and an additional year factory warranty, at no cost) and have a very good system. Hope this helps you out.
