Hdtv Calibration Discs
What is the best way to calibrate an HDTV?
I found the calibration tools that comes with Pixar films worked hard tube TV for old school. Now I have two DLP TVs and find that calibration tools just do not seem to be the best for these – especially the brightness and contrast. Can anyone suggest latest albums and tools for calibration?
This trick would not be unusual in the same category that what you are talking about but, when I worked at a TV repair shop, you used the soap operas during the day as a fast tool and dirty to set accurate and realistic skin tones. Soaps tend to record their programs in a way that preserves the colors very well so that it can actually serve as a rough guide adjustments to where you want to be. Of course, the downside of this era, when customers has become his TV repair, some complained about some of the changes, without realizing that real life skin tones are far from being as real as the ramp-up color and contrast settings were used. If the colors of real life were so real the settings to which many customers were using, it seems as if all lived in a Sunday newspaper comics, LOL!
