Viewing the embedded subtitles from a mkv file in Media Player Classic?
I have read that it is better to install only the codecs needed instead of installing codec packs. I've used both CCCP and K-Lite and have had varying degrees of success with both, but I want to try this "best" way. Now I'm trying to play a HD mkv file that has embedded subtitles. I have: DivX H.264 Decoder Haali Media Splitter installed Xvid. Everything works perfectly, except I can not get the subtitles displayed in Media Player Classic. The tray icon Haali Media Splitter, even comes close and I can choose between subtitles and subtitles no, but any of the options, no subtitles are displayed in the Media Player Classic. I know subtitles are available, as shown well in VLC player. And yes, I know you can always use that player for this file. However, I do this work in Media Player Classic. Are there any suggestions how I can do this?
Hello, the subtitles are not incorporated then, are probably the files separately. For the subs with media player classic, make sure that production will VMR7 / 9. View -> Options -> Play -> Output -> DirectShow Video -> VMR7 (renderless) or VMR9 (renderless). So when you play the file go Navigate -> Subtitle Language.
