reat player bit
This little DVD player is just what we needed – cheap and easy set up and use. We just saw "normal" movie in it (without HD, etc) and are very satisfied with the quality of picture and sound. It was very easy to configure, and is super easy to use … and the price could not be better. Overall, excellent value and highly recommend it.

Makes better use of High Definition TV
Personally, I can not see SD DVD's to see more in my house without servile system. Even with solid upconversion of my Panasonic and Toshiba HD DVD players BDP, the DVD is just not cutting mustard. Very often, however, ended up watching SD DVD's because of the availability of Redbox, or television series are only available in the format.
A trip to the house of my village, I took my father 46 "Sony Bravia … RProj an HDTV very well. He brought a couple seasons of Criminal Minds to pass the time. I was horrified to discover that he had not updated their 480i to an upconverting DVD player. Your PQ at 46 "was really bad. I jumped at Amazon shortly after this discovery and ordered one of these converters negotiation Magnavox.
PROS
Simple, one cable HDMI connection is a plus for my dad, or anyone for that matter.
Easy Setup options in the menus of the player are basically set it and forget it.
The PQ is much improved with 1080p upconversion (when my mother, who usually could care less, says she can see a difference, there is a difference).
Negotiating price.
CONS
No player's front LCD screen, just some bright LED lights red and green.
control small remote prove difficult for my parents to use.
In conclusion, this is not the upconverting DVD player was going to build a complete high definition system at all, but it's a cheap solution for someone looking to get more out of your HDTV PQ.
Upconverting DVD less
All I have to say why pay the high price for DVD or Blu-Ray player when not needed.
My Aiwa DVD start rolling, so I researched, Read reviews and purchased the equipment. I'm glad I did. It took several minutes to adjust and get the correct picture quality to my HDTV. Boy when I did much better than my Aiwa at its best. I'm sure Blu Ray is better, but for the money who cares, its clear and sharp and I like watching movies in this configuration. I bought a cheap HDMI cable from the Amazon site as well (why pay retail). The picture is excellent (most severe) on the s-video or connectors RCA. I would say the only negative would be the on-screen menu.

I bought a SONY base for the bedroom. He had S-Video or HDMI ports'. " For a few dollars more, you can get a basic fine DVD player HDMI upconversion.
Not I have a home theater. I have no Blu Ray (I think one of my new laptop can handle). So this works very well with my 32-inch TV LCD Sony. An HDMI cable instead of all old-fashioned stupid cats.
Obviously if you have a more sophisticated system, is not going to like this player. If you is looking for a pleasant for all in-law / guest room in your house, this is consistent with the law.
