Can you recommend a multi-region DVD player with the "marker" and "time remaining" facilities?
My region multi-DVD player was kaput recently and am looking to replace him. This has been harder than I thought, because now companies like Sony are reluctant to make multi-region players. I also used to "bookmark" option on my old player, as it allows me to continue watching a movie that began last week, and a "time remaining" installation that tells me how long the program I'm looking hard (which is a godsend when you start see what appears to be a 5 min featurette that is really an hour long)! Searching online is proving difficult, as online stores rarely mention some advantages like these, so if you know of a good multi-region DVD player (standard DVD, not HD / Blue Ray) could get in the UK with a or both of these features that makes me a huge favor for me! Thank you!

"I have owned two Sony DVD recorders, my present is less than 9 months old, and both have been multi-region again. In fact most DVD players and recorders for sale in the UK these days are multi-region. Player manufacturers always opposed the concept region, which forced the industry for film companies.
