Realtek Audio drivers do not work with XP …?
I downloaded the Realtek audio drivers (HD Audio Codecs and AC'97 audio codecs). First, I installed HD Audio Codecs that made me very upset coz I installed it for like 3-4 times and still nothing … Then I went to Realtek's website again and got the AC'97 audio codecs and installed and rebooted. After that, nothing happened. REALTEK SINGLE NI appeared on the desktop ICON, start menu and taskbar but Control Panel .. I need help with this shit .. Please help … Thanks ..
The first thing you have to do is determine what sound chip you have on your plate base. If you have a sound card, download the drivers from the manufacturer's Web site. HD and AC97 are for two different chips, which explains why it is having problems. Once you have determined which chip you have, remove conflicting drivers for the chip.
