AMP question about Radeon HD 4850?
Let's say I have a 450W power supply with 15 amps at 12v …. rail is quite low and can say that I have 4 molex connectors … From the PCI E power adapter has two molex connectors must have a total of 30 amps right? So much as 300W There are more than enough for 4850 according to the reviews …… So will it work? What I do not get is what the hell is the 12V rail? Is the molex?
the custom work … … Period 15amps 12v rail will not run that card … you need a minimum of 24 amps on the 12v rail to run stable without problems …. you need to upgrade your ups … Some good ones are Corsair, OCZ and Enermax antec …. this is what I want to run that card minimum – - 650W antec ea650 75,00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371015 that is more than sufficient, but if you upgrade in the future, you have the space to do so …. Want Scott as the amplifiers as possible on the 12v rails … that distribute power to the …. Hardware reqiure vid card to run stable 24 to 30 amps …. so when looking at the specifications for a look ups for 12v rails …. Most have 2-4 … below each train, the amplifiers will be listed …. so .. namely a power supply with 4 12v rails and each rail has 15 amps …. add them and get 60 amps …. or near … that's what your looking for …..
