High Definition Pixel Dimensions
Can Blu-ray players display photo CDs to higher quality DVD players?
Digital photos can obviously be very high quality and pixel dimensions as easily be HD quality (1080p / i = 1920×1080). Both DVD and Blu-ray players are Photo CD playback. If you have an HDTV and use both to play a photo CD, Blu-ray is clearer? I guess the question is reduced whether the players are limited in output quality to avoid showing a picture in the same dimensions and resolution. I guess it would since they are made to regulate NTSC standard definition, right? However, with analog output that is itself not as a limitation of the analog output can actually show nothing. I guess the limitation is the DVD player however. Note right?: I know the quality of the disc does not matter. It's just the photo files on a disk, no no loss of quality burn photos to a CD.
The limitations are the player's firmware. Blu-Ray players are designed for high-definition resolution so theoretically should be able to display images in the same resolutions. But the upconverting DVD player could do just as well in terms your firmware. The same can be said of DivX HD video playback from DVD or CD.
