Good Can high cholesterol be the sign of a problem?
The simplistic notion that LDL cholesterol is "bad" cholesterol and HDL "good" has a single purpose in public health dogma: scare people taking statin drugs to lower their toxic LDL cholesterol. HDL cholesterol is like a tow truck, trailer specifically LDL cholesterol back to your liver to be recycled, regenerated, or cleared from your body. If you do not have enough HDL cholesterol or if you have too much LDL cholesterol, then the balance between the tow truck and the UPS truck is hit and who are at risk of a problem.
You can not tell the amount of LDL cholesterol is damaged their number, though it is assumed that if higher your probably have more. Either situation is very inflammatory, which correlates well with the new finding of inflammation and increased HDL as a risk factor.
The moral of the story is that the cholesterol numbers themselves only means something in the context of a person's general health. Y then you have to understand what LDL and HDL are trying to understand their own problems can be. Just thinking about "good" and "bad" can do to lose the whole boat or take a toxic drug that is far from good for you. If your HDL is high and you feel so good then you should take steps aggressive to reduce inflammation and toxicity, as the latest science is showing that you need to reduce their cardiovascular risk.
