"I can set up an oval Directv HD dish and HD box / DVR without a phone line?
I want to set my cabin in the mountains at a distance with a Directv HD / DVR, however, do not have a phone line. I think the new systems feature an oval dish 5LNB. I have an old Directv system definition standard must be pointed out myself, so it is much more difficult to trade and get a HD system and configuration of myself? The last DTV technology that "tired" to go there got stuck, and not just do it myself. I am looking for options on how to set and any caveots no phone line for a Dusih HD / HD Box / DVR combo. Thanks in advance. I'm old school – been six years since I installed the old system.
Hello, you can do without a phone line! The phone line is only really necessary if you want to order pay-per-view or make other interactive features. The box is not necessary to call home or anything after calling in boxes of initial activation. Have fun at your cabin!
