Will I keep my channels?
A few months ago, I had to switch out my digital TV box. We had a power surge and it knocked out our previous box. I went and got a new one, hooked it up, and all was good. A few weeks later we noticed that we had more channels than before. Come to find out we had everything and we’re not getting charged for them. Are we getting these channels because of the new box or is there some other reason why? Reason why I’m asking is because I just got an HDTV and to get HD channels I need to get an HD box. If switching out the box means losing these channels, then I’m not going to do it.
I have mediacom btw.
yes, unless your cable company currently has a promo where they give you those channels for free. buy a surge protector, and replace it every year if you want to make sure your equipment doesnt get damaged or just want to help your equipment last longer. if you are ok with watching basic tv on an hdtv then just keep the current box, i cant stand watching regular picture on a hdtv.
