It pays to buy Canon camcorder?
I read a lot about what is the best camcorder to buy what was originally looking at the range of Sony HDR-SR (12) and HDR-XR (200) V etc, but has found the Canon HV30 seems to rate pretty well. Although it still uses MiniDV tape, but with HD, it has great reviews raw images compared to the so-so with SONY. Do you think it is worth buying?

The HV20, 30 and 40 are all very good cameras. FWIW the pros still use tape – the idea that HD or semiconductor memory are better because they are "art" is complete nonsense.
