question about hard drive camcorder?
I thought to get a laptop and a camcorder that 30gig HD and the computer have 80gig laptop hard drive and 1gig memory will it take up space when I transfer videos from the camcorder to the laptop?
You can bet that it will take lot of disk space on your laptop for storing movies. I never used the camcorder HDD, I used some mini-DV camcorders and video I captured from my camcorder takes up about 7 MB per minute of video. My advice to you would buy an external hard drive to supplement the main drive of your laptop. The 250 GB drives are pretty cheap these days (in 100 to 150 range). And you can get 500GB in the range of $ 300. Good Luck
