Plasma TV has different sound volume for DTV vs. Analog…Why?
OK, I split the signal coming out of the wall from comcast. One end goes to DTV for HD broadcasts, the other goes into the cable box and then into the Ant. IN on the TV so I can see HBO, etc. The sound is perfect on the HD side, but way too low on the cablebox side..How can I fix this?
PS, if you are lucky, you can split the signal and get FREE HD from Comcast if you are in the right area.
The CABLE BOXES generally have their own built in Volume adjustment and your Volume on the box is too low…..
Adjust it to the MAXIMUM and your sound level should be close to the digital channels…..
Normally you do this by pressing the CABLE or STB button at the top of the remote, then press volume…you should see a DIFFERENT volume bar appear near the TOP of your TV picture, adjust it to MAX…
IF your TV’s volume bar appears, you need to contact your cable company and have one of their TECHs come out and set the cable box’s Audio output level to maximum……
