Yes that sounds good, my pc is a lil bit more updated but Spore works fine for me, you may need to Something to get above 256, could help with the game, the graphics card is not bad, try to get a 7800 or something, that's if you can, many games today these days need lots of features, so if you just update things a bit then will be better for most games now .. I do not know if you have surround sound speakers or not, but for a player like me, love me, you know where people come in shooting games and where they are fired from =] I have 7.1 surround speakers! good for the game and stuff, I hope you find what you want, Spore is a good game.
