"I can use a satellite dish and outdoor antenna for HD?
I do not want to buy an expensive indoor antenna. My house has an antenna Directv on top of the previous owner. All cables and ports are still there. How I can use it as an external antenna VHF / UHF High Definition? I hope someone knows. Thank you.
Use RG-6 wiring is to connect between the TV and a dish antenna, but the antenna would own evil. I do not know how far you are away from the transmission towers, but an indoor antenna is not very good at it. For example, I have an old amplified one here and all my towers transmitters are just 25 miles away sitting on top of a mountain 1000 feet. Even then, unimpeded in the middle, I can not get half the stations. I installed a very small outdoor antenna costing less than $ 30 and now I have all the subchannels (which is not Directv) and have better FM reception for the system Sound too.
