Hd Time Lapse Video
Is it likely possible / the Canon G10 can get HD video and time lapse back?
I was about to buy the Canon G10 for my boyfriend but the decision to pull back the high definition video and time lapse capability has really turned off. It is probable / possible for Canon to provide a firmware update to restore these functions? Pedra – I do not really follow your point. These 'gimmicky' features are, because consumers do not want. The reason for the additional features are added is convenience, I do not want to carry around a video camera, mp3 player, phone phone, address book, GPS, camera at the same time. I'm not saying that he would shoot hours of video, but with the option of video output more pleasant when the weather would not arise. We know that Canon is not shying away from their video cameras as a feature prodominant in the 5D and even the SX1 IS, it's only € 50 more than the G-10, why out of its flagship and shoot camera? I was drawn features were available and now been withdrawn for some reason and I wonder if we could add it again.
If you want true high definition video, I suggest you buy a camera HD video (1920×1080 24 Mbps) as a digital camera will never give you the same quality than a dedicated HD camcorder will give you. The G9 never had a way HD video … the best I could do was to XGA (1024×768) 15 fps or VGA (640×480 or 320×240) 30fps. Best of the G-10 is capable of is … VGA 640 x 480 @ 30 fps. I really doubt that Canon bother to release a firmware update. The G-10 is a fixed camera in the first place. This is a video mode is only a secondary element that is included gimmicky because, apparently, that's what consumers want …
