What’s the best high-definition laptop on the market?
Hi, I need a hi-def laptop for work, preferably with a large screen. The best thing I’ve found so far is HP’s HDX. What other good options are available? And is Mac coming out with an HD laptop?
I really think the HDX is the best out there. It’s one of two 20 inch screen notebooks, the other one being the Dell 2010 which doesn’t -have the performance as the HDX does. The HDX has the Nvidia 8800 GTS, up to 4GB ram and plenty of hard drive space, not forgetting the intergrated sub woofer, i think if your in the US you can also get the x9000 processor which aspeeds at 2.8GHZ.
AT 17 inch screens, there is the release of the Dell Studio range which are good at a lower price, however not as big of performance at the HDX HP. The Studio 17 only hits about 2.6 GHZ with processors, and dell haven’t been so great with there mobile sound/speakers. Dell also have 15 inch versions of the Studio.
Dell also have the XPS m1730 which is a performance range of laptop and most superior for gaming and has hi def on a 17 inch screen, however it’s more pricey than the HDX due to the SLI video card.
