How I can improve my HD Home Theater PC?
I was hoping that someone can give me some advice on what to do to improve my HD HTPC, in order to play movies in 1080p better. Some videos 1080p great job, some are unstable, others get all stains, and just stop. I realize you may have to do with the file itself 1080p, but I'm looking for the best, or cheapest way to improve my performance. What I'm using: WinXP MCE-SP3-Intel Pentium 4 3.4GHz CPU, motherboard ABIT AA8-4x DuraMAX 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM, ATI RADEON X800 XL 256MB 400MHz Vid Card-Seagate Barracuda SATA1.5GB / s 120GB 7200RPM 8MB cache (hard disk boot and has programs / codecs)-Seagate Barracuda SATA 3Gb / s 32MB Cache 5900RPM 1.5TB (HDD keep / play media), Media Player Classic, CoreAVC, AC3Filter-DVI to HDMI (PC a VIZIO 37 "LCD HDTV 1080p) -S/PDIF optical audio (HTS3371D Philips HTS) So, what should I do to make 1080p work better?
Just to replace the graphics card with one that has a good HD video support.
