HD Update

Help to connect my Xbox 360 to my new HD monitor?

Today, we have our new Dell monitor delivered and prepared everything, only to discover cables do not seem to match. Do I have to get cable high definition on Xbox 360 to connect, or be connected to the cables in the box and I'm just doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
